The problems that bring stores to us

Store owners rarely call about SEO because they want more blog traffic. They call because the numbers stopped adding up.

Every one of those traces back to three things, store structure, page content, and product data. That is the work.

  • Ad spend climbs every quarter while organic sales stay flat.
  • Category pages sit on page two while marketplaces outrank you for products you carry.
  • Google has indexed thousands of filter URLs and none of the pages you want ranking.
  • Products are missing from Shopping listings and AI answers, or showing with the wrong price and stock.
  • Visitors land on the blog, read, and leave without touching a product.

Ecommerce SEO services we offer

Ecommerce SEO is the work of getting an online store to rank in Google for the searches people make when they are ready to buy, then turning those visits into orders. Here is what that covers.

Ecommerce SEO audits

A one time teardown of the store. Every structural, technical, and content problem found, verified, and put in a priority list through our ecommerce SEO audits, with the option for us to make the fixes.

icon conversion rate

Keyword mapping and category content

Searches with buying intent get grouped by category and product type, and the category pages that land them get real copy and structure. No two pages compete, and no money term sits without a page.

icon coding standards

Product page copy and schema

The products that carry your revenue get original descriptions instead of the manufacturer paragraph on 400 other sites, titles matched to how people search, and schema that puts price, stock, and star rating in the search result.

icon website speed

Technical crawl control and speed

Rules for filters, sorting, pagination, variants, and retired products, so Google spends its time on pages that sell. Our technical SEO audits find the problems, and speed fixes land on the category, product, and cart templates where shoppers drop off.

icon online shopping

Product feeds and AI shopping

Merchant Center feed setup and upkeep, with feed data and on-page schema kept matching, so your products qualify for free Shopping listings, AI Overviews, and ChatGPT shopping results.

WooCommerce and Shopify SEO

Platform specific work from a team that builds on both. Collection URL cleanup on Shopify, template and plugin surgery through our WooCommerce SEO services, and internal linking that pushes authority to the categories you want to grow.

Getting products into Google Shopping and AI answers

Google fills AI Overviews, AI Mode shopping results, and free Shopping listings from the Shopping Graph, and the Shopping Graph is fed by your Merchant Center product feed and the structured data on your product pages. ChatGPT shopping results work the same way, pulling from merchant feeds and product pages with clean, consistent data.

The feed is SEO work now. A store with accurate titles, GTINs, availability, pricing, and review data in the feed qualifies for those placements. A half filled feed keeps you out of them, no matter how well the pages rank.

The store problems nobody warns you about

Filters that create thousands of URLs

Every combination of size, color, price, and brand becomes a URL. Google crawls all of them, splits your ranking signals across them, and ignores the page you wanted to rank. The fix is deciding which combinations people search for, indexing those, and blocking the rest.

Variants and duplicates

One shirt in six colors is six near identical pages, and a product listed in three categories has three URLs. Left alone, Google picks one at random or ranks none. Canonicals and consolidation keep the version with the most links and reviews as the one that ranks.

Products that go out of stock

Stores delete discontinued products and lose every link and ranking those pages earned, or they leave hundreds of dead products live and waste crawl budget on pages that cannot sell. Retired products get redirected to the closest replacement. Seasonal items stay live with restock signals.

Built by people who build stores

We are a Shopify Partner and we have built WooCommerce stores since 2009. The theme changes, redirect rules, schema, and feed work that come out of an audit get made by us, inside your theme, usually the same month they are found. Nothing sits in a document waiting for a developer who has never seen your store.

Ecommerce SEO FAQs

Ecommerce SEO services are the ongoing work of ranking an online store in Google and getting its products into Shopping and AI results. That includes keyword research by category, category and product page content, technical control over filters, variants, and out of stock products, site speed, product feed management, link building, and reporting on organic revenue.

Ongoing ecommerce SEO runs $3,000 to $10,000 a month and up, depending on catalog size, platform, and competition. One time ecommerce SEO audits are priced as a fixed project. Both are broken down on our SEO pricing page.

Category rankings usually move within two to three months once the structure is fixed. Revenue growth you can see in the numbers takes two quarters for most stores. Large catalogs on a fresh domain take longer, and stores with an existing base of links move faster.

Yes, if the store sells products people search for by name or type. A small catalog is an advantage, because every page can get real content and the technical work is contained. If the store sells products nobody searches for yet, paid social is usually the better first spend and SEO comes later.

An audit is a one time project. We crawl the store, find every structural, technical, and content problem, and hand you a prioritized fix list, with the option for us to make the fixes. Read more about our ecommerce SEO audits. Ongoing SEO is the monthly work of building on that, publishing content, managing the feed, earning links, and adjusting as rankings and revenue move.

Yes. We are a Shopify Partner and we build custom Shopify stores as well as run SEO on them. Shopify handles some technical basics well and creates its own problems with collection URLs and duplicate product paths, and we know where those are.

Yes, and it comes down to product data. AI shopping results pull from Merchant Center feeds and structured product pages. A complete feed, matching product schema, and original product content give your store a reason to be cited over the same product on Amazon.

Both, but not in the same order for every store. Paid ads produce sales this week and stop the day you stop paying. SEO takes months to build and keeps producing without a per click cost. Most stores we work with run ads on their best margin products while SEO builds the category traffic that lowers their cost of sale over time.
