What is a Google Penalty (also called manual action)?

 

A Google penalty is basically a spam penalty that has been issued to a website by a manual Google review instead of algorithmic penalty that happens automatically, based on criteria Google has for websites based on the qulity of content and/or links. A penalty is trickier to eliminate, and requires the consulation (typically) of an experiences SEO auditing company, as well as a processed called ‘disavowal’ in order to rid the site of toxic backlinks, if this is one of the causes of the penalty.

Does site depth & website structure matter?

 

Both search engines and site visitors alike shouldn’t have to click hundreds of times to get to the key content on your website. It’s always a best practice to keep important content,… meaning the pages you want to rank – within 3 – 4 click of your homepage.
